  3. Hi! My name is Joni Hall. I live in Dexter, Iowa. My school district is very rural and we have 4 buildings in 3 different towns; high school and K-2 elementary building in Stuart, Iowa, middle school in Redfield, Iowa, and 3-5 elementary building in Dexter. This is my 26th year in the West Central Valley School District with 30+ years overall teaching. I teach in both elementary buildings and go between them daily. Luckily, they are only about 5 miles apart. My main designation is as Gifted coordinator for the district and I work with my gifted students everyday. I also teach technology and STEM for K-5. I never get bored.

  14. Hello - My name is Krista and am a high school counselor in Sioux City, IA. This is my second year working for the district. Prior to working for Sioux City Schools, I was a high school counselor in a small district. I love working in a bigger school as I work alongside a team of counselors that serve over 1200 students. It's nice to bounce ideas off of each other. I have two children, one in high school and one will graduate from college this May. I am excited to take this course to add additional "tools" to my teaching/counseling box. Outside of my work world, I enjoy spending time with my family and from time to time crocheting.
